Through the use of a Grid-Interactive inverter, your solar panels feed power into the electricity grid via the electricity box of your house; no storage batteries required! Any excess power from your panels that is not consumed by your house is then automatically fed into the grid, and is metered so that you can be paid by your electricity retailer (Some Queensland Electricity retailers are now paying almost three times the retail price per kWh!).
For a 2.1kW installation (twelve panels), the average Queensland home using 20kWh per day can expect to reduce their electricity bill by up to 90% by simply selling a portion of their solar electricity to the grid. Larger systems can result in a cheque rather than a bill from your electricity supplier!!!! With electricity prices consistently rising steeply, the monetary payback time for your solar system is rapidly decreasing!
